LifeStories - what does it cost?
The first non-binding exchange to get to know one another costs nothing. The first recorded interview-conversation (30 minutes) which is transcribed is also free. That includes corrections and sending the final transcript to you by email. All following interview-conversations lasting around an hour + transcription, corrections and sending cost € 150,- VAT-free. You may also decide to book a whole afternoon which would lead to about 3 hours of exchange. Cost: € 450,-
For an hour of conversation, I need about four hours to correctly transcribe, depending on how fast and clearly someone speaks. Half of my fee is due prior to our conversation, the other half upon completion. My invoice is sent via email. You can pay via my PayPal account or via a bank transfer. Costs are not associated with Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp interviews.
This modular structure leaves people free to decide how much they wish to invest in their LifeStories project. If there is a long gap between a first interview and consecutive interviews (or if there are no consecutive interviews) that is fine.
